Ara or Macau parrots are included in the tribe of neotropical parrots (Arini), which includes all types of parrots of the New World, a total of 148 species, which in turn is part of the Parrot family – Psittacidae, subfamily Real parrots – Psittacinae. Macaw parrots are the largest representatives of the order Parrots (Psittaciformes). All Macaus are divided into three groups, some taxonomists have 4 groups. The first group – the actual genus Ara (Ara) has 12 or 13 species. Among them are blue-yellow, green-winged, red macaws.
